Kennedy Democrats PA Announce Key Endorsements for November Election, Including Historic Firsts
PENNSYLVANIA - Today, the Kennedy Democrats announced key endorsements for the upcoming November 2, 2021 municipal elections, including historic firsts up and down the ballot from Erie to Bucks County.
Kennedy Democrats has thrown their full support behind sixteen candidates this cycle, including Maria McLaughlin for Pennsylvania Supreme Court, Tyler Titus, the first transgender candidate for county executive in Erie, Tiffany Thomas-Smith, who will be the first Black woman judge on the Bucks County Court of Common Pleas, Antonetta Stancu who will be the first woman to serve as Bucks County District Attorney, and Mark Lomax who will become first Black Sherriff to serve Bucks County.
“With the continuous threats to our democracy, the continuation of a global pandemic, and a call to action from voters across the Commonwealth, it has never been more important for us to elect true public servants for office state-wide and at the local level,” said Hon. Patrick J. Murphy, former Pennsylvania Congressman and co-founder of the Kennedy Democrats. “We are so proud to support these incredible candidates who represent the very best of who we are.”
“This slate of candidates is exactly why we do this work,” said Scott Wallace, co-chair of the Kennedy Democrats. “We need to elect candidates up and down the ballot who will make sure our government works for ordinary folks everywhere, from our local school boards to county officials to our State Supreme Court. With such fantastic candidates comes the obligation for every single one of us to get out and vote, to grow the most effective and accountable government possible and send a strong signal that Democrats are prepared to come roaring to success in 2022 and beyond.”
